Bitstamp is reportedly in talks with three big European banks to help them offer crypto services. According to Robert Zagotta, Bitstamp’s global chief commercial officer, the EU’s regulatory effort, Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA), is easing the entry of conventional financial firms into digital assets. Conversely, in the US, heavy crypto regulation is causing a crackdown on the industry and pushing regulated firms to move their crypto operations elsewhere. Bitstamp has also received interest in its Bitstamp-as-a-service offering from large European banks.
