Coinbase to offer futures such as L2 virtual currency stocks
Added 3 new derivatives
Coinbase, a major US cryptocurrency exchange, has announced plans to newly offer perpetual futures trading for Optimism (OP), Arbitrum (ARB), and Ethereum Classic (ETC). It will be available from 10:00 on December 13th (UTC).

In addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum, Coinbase has so far offered perpetual futures trading on Solana (SOL), Avalanche (AVAX), and ADA, LINK, DOGE, and XLM, as well as on the overseas exchange Coinbase International Exchange and in the United States. “Coinbase Advancedâ€, and on the 7th, Polygon (MATIC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) were added as derivatives.
Coinbase is looking to expand its crypto derivatives market share internationally as rival Binance’s U.S. and global market share declines. The stock price of Coinbase stock COIN rose +7.6% from the previous day.
