Litecoin, the eighth largest cryptocurrency in the world has been at the forefront when it comes to real-world use-case and adoptions as compared to Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.
Litecoin also became the first cryptocurrency to get into the octagon as it sponsored a UFC 232: Jones Vs Gustaffson fight which was in December 2018. As per the recent tweet by Ben Askren, a UFC fighter said that he was glad to be have been sponsored by Litecoin.
He stated in the video posted on his Twitter account saying:
“I just wanted to thank you for the sponsor for UFC 235, I’m especially honored to represent you guys ’cause you guys are a cause that I believe in. Obviously, I hold a lot of Litecoin myself and I think its great when not just do I get a sponsorship, but I get on that I believe in, that I think can help make a better future.
Askren continued to thank the Litecoin foundation and the community for making this sponsor happen and said that he will try to take Litecoin to the next level.
Charlie Lee tweeted the video with a comment saying:
“I’m excited to see the community (#LTCEastCoastTeam & #LTCWestCoastTeam) come together to support @Benaskren. Litecoin Foundation takes no credit for this. Good luck in UFC 235, Ben!”
Moreover, the recent sponsor by Litecoin was successful as Litecoin’s logo “LTC” was on the canvas during the fight night. This would allow Litecoin to be witnessed by millions of people during the match and help put it on a fast track to adoption.
@mrilirigashi, a Twitter user commented:
“Price is lagging adoption, and Litecoin has a lot of it. Once the price of the market catches up then you’ll see Litecoin continue to thrive in the future. We’re not focusing on price, we’re focused on bringing adoption since that’s what will move us out of this bear market.”
@lismightydavis, another Twitter user commented:
“It ain’t the foundation @Benaskren , it’s the individuals in the #litecoin community! #LTCFAM”
