Bitfinex rejects insolvency claims, says withdrawals and deposits are functioning normally

One of the world’s leading digital asset trading platform, Bitfinex has denied the speculated rumors about the exchange becoming insolvent followed by the recent allegations about the exchange encountering withdrawals issues. Furthermore, there have been rumors about the customers facing problems in connecting to the Bitfinex exchange platform. The internal support staff of Bitfinex had also failed to answer the queries raised by its customers.

Bitfinex made an announcement that fiat and cryptocurrency withdrawals were fully operational. Their official post stated:

“These parties are quick in screaming insolvency, seemingly with a little understanding of what this concept means and what they are generally talking about”

They stated that the arguments that claimed its insolvency were rather inappropriate and gave no logical explanation of the claims. They stated:

“How any rational party can claim insolvency when the opposite is there for all to see is interesting and, once again, perhaps indicative of a targeted campaign based on nothing but fiction.”

Bitfinex mentioned that the cold wallets below were only a small fraction of the cryptocurrency holdings and they did not consider any kind of fiat holdings.

  2. Ethereum cold wallet 1
  3. EOS cold wallet 1

According to Bitfinex, they had been witnessing complications in the domain of fiat currency transactions which were quite common amongst “cryptocurrency-related organizations”. However, the withdrawals and deposits of both fiat and cryptocurrencies were functioning normally on the exchange platform. They added that users could withdraw with U.S. Dollars, Euros, Japanese Yen, and Pounds Sterling.

Anonymous sources claimed that Noble bank had been looking for new buyers since Bitfinex and Tether stopped using the services of the bank. The announcement was followed by the reports which stated that Nobel Bank had recently become financially unstable and was looking to partner with new investors. Bitfinex reported that all such allegations and rumors which were revolving around Nobel bank did not affect the operations, solvency, or survivability of the exchange platform.

HODL_Report posted on Twitter:

“You must do better than this. Why should we take your word for it? Who is your bank? Where is your audit by a top-tier accounting firm? why no US bank take your’e funds? Video tape proof to us. Why is this internet sleuth seeing similarities Between MtGox, BTC-e, cryptsy, and Bitfinex?”
