Bitcoin [BTC] can’t buy you a Lambo, but a Mustang instead

In a new step towards adoption, a small manufacturer of custom cars has started accepting Bitcoin [BTC]. While at current prices, Bitcoin can’t buy you a Lambo, it could buy you a Ford.

They stated that they will accept multiple coins such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash [BCH], Litecoin [LTC], Ethereum [ETH], and Docademic [MTC]. It is worth knowing that the currencies they accept are not limited to these.

Classic Recreations, a manufacturer of custom Ford vintage cars based in Oklahoma, started moving towards cryptocurrencies through its owner. These cars are said to have the ultimate attention to detail, with over 2500 man hours invested in all the pieces of machinery.

These cars are said to qualify as luxury automobiles, as they cost upwards of $150,000 per car. The company’s premier offering is a GT500CR 900S, an updated version of a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang. It has a 427-cubic-inch V8 engine, which produces 800 horsepower.

They also produce GT350CR and GT500CR models, along with Boss 429, Boss 302 and Mach 1 models. They are labeled as “continuation cars” after getting approval from Blue Oval. All cars come with modern technology such as updated brakes, tires and suspension.

Jason Engel, the owner of Classic Recreations was largely responsible for accepting cryptocurrency. Interestingly, this seems to be an intermingling of the ‘old’ and the new. He said on the move:

“My entire life I have had a strong fascination for technology and its evolution. Cryptocurrencies have come a long way and continue to solidify themselves as a legitimate currency on the global market. The truck beauty of accepting cryptocurrency is the universal aspect of it which allows Classic Recreations to connect with consumers from anywhere in the world.”
