On June 7th, Roger Ver, the official face of Bitcoin Cash [BCH] and the CEO of Bitcoin.com has announced that BCH is following the idea of creating possible “designs” with newly added applications in the first weekly Tokyo Bitcoin Cash meet-up held at Rakan.
Earlier in the first week of June, more than 100+ coders gathered for the ‘BCH Geek’ in China to have an educated focus on creating BCH-based apps that provide more “utility for people all over the world”. In a recent interview with CNBC, Jay Clayton, the Chairman of US Securities and Exchange Commission has clarified his views on Bitcoin by referring to it as “replacements for sovereign currencies.”
Controversial enough, Roger Ver stated that Bitcoin Cash meet-ups had a turn-out of more than 125 people, which is supposedly far lesser than the number of people turning up for BTC meet-ups. Mr. Ver went around giving away BCH t-shirts and assuring more and more people to support and learn about the community so that they can receive money in their Bitcoin Cash wallets at the speed of light.
This is not the first time Mr. Ver has attacked BTC in order to show support to the Bitcoin Cash community.
Roger Ver stated:
“I have been telling people about Bitcoin since 2011. It allows you to send and receive any amount of money with anyone and anywhere instantly basically for free, and there is nothing anybody can do to stop it. This speech is still 100% true about Bitcoin cash today but no longer true about BTC.”
He later goes about asking friends and merchants to provide their support towards accepting BCH. Investors were asked to visit ‘free.bitcoin.com’ to earn free Bitcoin Cash. Both Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin Cash share the same genesis block.
Memo.cash also provides zero manipulation when it comes to posting your opinions right into the blockchain and more people are going to support it because it is not centrally controlled. Ver believes that “destruction is the key to progress” while talking about regulatory bodies shutting down or disrupting the issue of digital currencies. Another website called Moneytoken.com has already started using BCH as a store of value with the advancements in its scaling technology.
A Twitter enthusiast, Douglas Sloan, commented:
“If you think it’s a scam, don’t put in $$$. Time will tell. I would love to know the motivations of those who spend time tearing down the hard work of brilliant folks trying to make a difference.”
Joannes Vermorel, the CEO of Lokad has been working on developing the potential for the supply chains on Bitcoin cash with “faster than light transactions”.
He further stated:
“I believe that the BCH community does not allow any incompetent people and are more driven. Bitcoin Cash is essentially a marketplace for competing companies that just do not cater to crypto-networks.”
Another Twitter enthusiast, and Bitcoin Core developer, Luke Dashjr argued saying:
“Since Satoshi’s original scaling ideas were found to be impossible, Bitcoin has adopted a direction of using more advanced off-chain tech to accomplish the original goals. BCH, on the other hand, wants to do everything on-chain, and so far has just been ignoring the problems.”
