The Summit was conveyed by Ethereal, a platform which brings futurists, entrepreneurs, investors, media icons, government officials, artists, musicians, and humanitarians for a day of storytelling and knowledge sharing. Ethereal plans to create a system that enables humanity to move with a shared purpose.

Joseph Lubin said:

“Consensys is a group of doers, makers, and builders. People here are from all sorts of background whether they are cryptography, computer science experts, mathematicians, or finance industry professionals and we are all passionately building the decentralized future. The decentralized world wide web on which economics, social, and political system will be built going forward.”

ConsenSys, which Lubin established in 2015 in New York, focuses on developing applications based on Ethereum’s technology [the third generation of the Internet”, Web 3.0]. According to Lubin, at ConsenSys, they work to communicate, collaborate, and create inter-operation between all of their different projects.

They view their work as building an ecosystem, which comprises the consensys ecosystem, the Ethereum ecosystem, and the decentralization ecosystem.

The former Vice President at Goldman Sachs, Lubin spoke about ConsenSys, regulation, and Ethereum at the recent launch of ConsenSys in Dublin, he said:

“ConsenSys helps to accelerate, or even launch, companies and projects that use Ethereum as a platform. We are re-architecting how companies or groups of people will offer services to consumers and other businesses and there are definitely some hot-button issues around cryptocurrencies, as there are hot-button issues with respect to securities law around the world. But I think we’re about to move through that and get to a clean resolution before the end of this year in most countries around the world.”

Fredward, a Twitter user commented:

“Which countries are using (or testing) #Ethereum to improve government transparency? I know Canada is.”
