Bithumb hack: $17 million worth Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, Ethereum among other cryptos lost, not $31 million

Bithumb, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide has made a recent announcement stating that the exchange platform lost about $17 million [19 billion SKW] during its recent hack and not $31 million [35 billion SKW] as stated earlier.

The platform claims that the reduction in the total loss that occurred due to the hack was because of the instant transfer of the cryptocurrencies from hot wallet to cold wallet.

The platform also states that support and cooperation of all the cryptocurrency exchanges and foundations around the world were among the reasons why the total loss faced by the platform saw a significant dip.
