Bitcoin [BTC], Litecoin [LTC], Ethereum [ETH], Bitcoin Cash [BCH], Zcash [ZEC] now accepted by Freedom of the Press Foundation

It was founded for the purpose of protecting and defending the adversarial journalism and does so through crowdfunding, digital security, and internet advocacy.

In its blog announcement of the same, the Foundation expressed:

We plan to add more cryptocurrencies soon, including support for donating to a shielded Zcash address.”

Post this news, it also received an early donation of 1000 ETH from Mainframe_HQ that calls itself ‘a decentralized network for censorship-resistant message routing.’ To this gesture, FPF responded by saying:

“A HUGE thank you to @Mainframe_HQ, who is helping kick off our cryptocurrency donation page with a donation of 1000 ETH! We are thrilled @Mainframe_HQ shares our goal of protecting journalists and whistleblowers in the digital age.”

In recent times, the acceptance for cryptocurrencies as well as blockchain technology has become more visible and vocal.

SpacePip [Ethereum], a Twitterati and Monero supporter replied to FPF’s tweet, saying:

“No XRP?? Are you kidding me??”

Another crypto-enthusiast and apparent XRP advocate, Azaz Malek commented:

“No XRP?? Are you kidding me??”

The foundation beneath its tweet also commented:

“Monero coming soon.”

With the usage of blockchain to decentralize the content industry and cryptocurrencies to fund it, the content publishers can be assured of their creative freedom and free speech. The adoption of blockchain is spreading wider and revolutionizing many current business models.
